"The M-133 MicroAmp is a clean boost/volume pedal, part of the first Reference Series by MXR released between 1973 and 1984. The original stompbox did not have power-on LED or A/C connector.The main application of this pedal is to do louder solos. It can also supply a permanent boost in a long effects chain or cables where the signal drop is a problem. Placing it before the amp the signal boost will drive the preamp harder and into more saturation."

680 White Can Big Muff clone from Chicago Stompworks - a modern recreation of the original circuit, hand built with true bypass switching and the highest quality components.
From Kit Rae's excellent "Big Muff History" page: V2 "WHITE CAN" RAMS HEAD BIG MUFF PI: "I believe this was the sixth in the sequence of circuit variants for the V2. It is also the second most common version of the V2 circuit made by Electro-Harmonix, after the '73 violet. Around 1974 EHX started using these large, barrel shaped, white axial poly film caps, which is the easiest way to identify this version. The 220pF filter cap in the first stage at C10 was unique to this version, as was the small .0068µF filter cap in the tone section. Those were nearly always .01µF. The input cap at C1 increased to 10µF and remained this value on many later V2 variants, allowing more bass into the circuit. For this version, C13 and the C2 output cap were also changed to 10µF for more bass going out of the circuit. The filter caps at C12 and C11 are 680pF, a value only found on this version, and the largest value EHX ever used. The 220pF cap in the first stage was used to sort of balance out the 680pF caps in the clipping stages, in an effort to keep the sound from being too different from the previous versions. A fantastic alternative to our hand built boutique products. Is this a true analog delay (with a delay time of 20ms-600ms) at this price point? Nope! It's an "analog delay." The actual echo chip is a CD2399 next to SA571 compandor. What's happening here is the the sucessive echoes have a continually degrading, "lo fi" quality with each repeat. It's a very convincing analog simulator. Need those seventies "Space Ace" echos? Here you go. Power draw is 12ma, input impedance 1M, output 1K. The price is real, but it can't last - don't regret passing these up!

The Circuits Behind the "That Pedal Show" Custom Builds
Longtime Stompworks customer David Dyte approached us with a proposal: Could we create custom pedals for the cast of "That Pedal Show"?
Hopefully, the results speak for themselves. Under the hood, the green drive is almost identical to our current "Green Thing" Screamer build, while the orange muff circuit is 100% identical to the "Pyramid Principle" Triangle Muff build. It was our pleasure to deliver these cool one-offs, and thankfully you can still add these tones to your own setup!
